Palm
Springs International Film Festival
Katz & Mouse developed the Palm Springs International Film Festivals from 2002-2004. Please check their archives. Palm Springs International Film Festival is a unique organization - a non-profit entity with one staff operating two world-class international film events in the City of Palm Springs. As producer of both the Nortel Networks Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, PSIFF is a recreational, educational and professional resource for more than 70,000 movie-lovers, entertainment industry executives and film-makers from Southern California and around the world each year. What began as one mayor's attempt
to add vitality to his town has grown into "one of the best showcases
for international film," according to the LA Times. Routinely attended
by film industry executives and filmmakers from across the globe, The
Nortel Networks Palm Springs International Film Festival, held in January
each year, boasts an attractive film sales and distribution record and
is seen by American distributors as one of the best Academy Award campaign
marketing tools. But easily the most exciting aspect of the festival is
its enthusiastic, sophisticated audience. From age 5 to 85, men, women,
children, local, international, this festival has become a "people-friendly"
event, bringing together communities as diverse as the retired citizens
of the desert and the young, hip industry crowd of Los Angeles. |
