We
begin our tour with the catalog. Catalog pages can organize your
products by category, season, alphabetically, or other methods.
Access e also provides a search box, allowing customers to
easily find products. Catalog pages are generated using templates. In addition to creating a consistent look and feel, templates greatly reduce the time needed to create your catalog. Templates provide the ability to customize the presentation of your catalog, i.e. a foreign language, a low bandwidth version (text only) and a high bandwidth version (multimedia). You can go as far as to provide different pages for different browser versions, ensuring your site will display properly while still using all the features the latest browsers provide. Templates also allow you to transfer information using emerging technologies such as XML and WDDX. You can also provide versions of your catalog for use with web-enabled cell phones and PDAs.
